Just a 5 minute drive from San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge in Sausalito, CA, we have been blessed to use our friend Christopher’s gorgeous art studio, Studio 333.
Christopher is a good friend (and former roommate!) of Kasey’s, and we are very thankful to him for letting us celebrate with our extended friends and family in his space. If you’re a Bay Area local, consider checking out some of Christopher’s amazing events and classes.
Getting to Studio 333 is pretty easy, if you’re driving:
From San Francisco (and all places South):
- 101 North
- Take Exit 442 toward Alexander Ave
- Follow Alexander Ave (and South St, 2nd, and Richardson) around to the waterfront avenue: Bridgeway
- Turn left at Turney Street then immediate right onto Caledonia
From Northern California, Oregon, or Sarah Palin’s house:
- I-5 South
- Take 505 South towards San Francisco
- Take exit 1A to merge onto I-80 West
- Take exit 33B to merge onto CA-37 West towards Novato/San Rafael
- Merge onto 101 South
- Take exit 445A toward Marin City/Sausalito
- Left at Donahue
- Take 1st right onto Bridgeway
- Right at Litho
- 1st left on Caledonia
From the East, Sacramento, Nevada, the wilds of the Rockies, and farther reaches:
- If driving, take I-80 West (then follow instructions at #3 for Northern California, above).
- If flying, consider San Francisco, Oakland, or San Jose airports. San Jose is 75 minutes South of Sausalito, Oakland about 25 minutes East, and SFO about 20-25 minutes South.
If you are taking public transit:
There’s a ferry that runs between San Francisco’s Ferry Building and Sausalito – the weekend schedule is a bit sparse, but there are 2:50 and 4:45pm ferries. The trip takes about 30 minutes. Be aware that the last ferry out of Sausalito is at 6:30pm, so arrange for other transit back to the city! Like, say, a bus…
There are a couple of bus routes operated by Golden Gate Transit which link up San Francisco and Sausalito. You’ll want to catch the number 10 bus heading north:
…and the 80 bus, heading towards San Francisco and leaving from the Sausalito Ferry Terminal (Bridgeway at El Portal), runs every hour beginning at 6:53pm, with the last possible bus to SF leaving at 11:54pm! Yay! Party all night!
